Design and Deliver an Outstanding Curriculum

Ofsted now expects schools to be able to articulate the rationale behind the design of their bespoke curriculum.

 

This course will provide exciting, practical, creative strategies to bring the curriculum to life for pupils and teachers alike. It will demonstrate how deep learning and personal development can be nurtured within a broad curriculum that balances creativity and rigour.

 

Participants will:

 

• understand how to engage young learners with the skills and concepts found within a broad, rich curriculum,

• feel prepared to speak about the intent of their curriculum with passion and confidence,

• explore numerous strategies to implement learning experiences which encourage pupil engagement without losing sight of curriculum content,

• develop ways to balance teacher instruction with creative, ‘playful’ exploration to ensure impact for all pupils.
